Overview
FAD Equipment Store is a material handling equipment store offering material handling and load monitoring products to a US audience.
As a fairly new brand, FAD Equipment Store required a fully functioning ecommerce website to be developed in quick time to bring world leading lifting and material handling products to the USA.
The solution
Working to a tight time-frame initially, we built a solution that aligned with FAD Equipment Store’s objectives. This included:
Identifying the audience and appropriate messaging
Understanding the problems these products solve, who makes the buying decision and how they want that process to work was crucial to the website’s success. Working with FAD Equipment Store directors, we developed a set of laser-focused sales messages for specific audiences to be used throughout the website and ongoing marketing campaigns.
Finding the right tech stack
Platform selection was key for this project. The website needed to cater for complex US tax rules and drop shipping requirements from several manufacturers. Shopify suited the project perfectly with many out of the box solutions and a wide range of apps to support the functionality required.

Crafting the UX
With 1,400 different products from 15 different manufacturers we ensured that the product presentations remained consistent with imagery and SEO focused descriptions. Video guides, downloads and tech sheets were also added for enhanced user experience.
Driving sales
With the site launched, we embarked on driving traffic to the website to help drive sales and increase brand awareness. A large PR campaign, PPC advertising and content strategy surround the website to establish the brand and ultimately, drive sales.
Early results
To develop a brand-new ecommerce website and start generating sales after three months in an already competitive marketplace was always going to be a challenge. After three months we have established the website as a recognised supplier of premium products and achieved five high value sales through the website.
