A Mission With MAT Foundry
The challenge
The MAT Foundry Group are leaders in casting and machining technology. Boasting eight production facilities across three separate continents, they engineer and manufacture products pivotal to the passenger, commercial and heavy-duty vehicle markets.
MAT Foundry first approached Intergage when their various foundries were standalone organisations recently acquired by one ownership group. Our initial brief was to design and build a website that represented all foundries, essentially bringing them under one roof.
Along-side this, The Foundry Group needed support creating content to position themselves as an industry leader. This required written content, striking imagery and graphic design to create a leading online presence.
So began a long-term marketing relationship that has delivered excellent results.

The solution
The Intergage team acted as MAT Foundry’s marketing department and set out a strategy to give them an almighty online boost by:
- Laying the foundations – developing a website to be proud of that could act as central hub of information for the organisation.
- Developing thought leading, informative content in a multitude of formats.
- Enhance online recruitment – developing content to create demand and interest in engineering careers and a platform to help manage applicants.
The journey
MAT Foundry differ from many of our typical clients in that their primary objective is not sales but increased profile. No products or projects are purchased online but driving traffic helps raise awareness of a brand that continues to evolve.
The client has long tasked Intergage with making them look ‘cool’ and establishing their organisation as an authority on certain topics – namely driving and motorsport.
Laying the foundations
A modern site packed full of striking imagery and video content was duly launched in 2015. Soon after a German equivalent was released allowing the organisation to expand into a major market.
Building the content strategy
Once the foundations were laid, developing a suitable content strategy became a huge part of MAT Foundry’s journey. Continual research and content creation ensure MAT Foundry are always abreast of the latest technologies and trends in the automotive industry. To support this, Intergage has ownership of the client’s social platforms and have re-imagined aspects of the website to ensure it continues to engage new and returning visitors.
The likes of website design, fresh photography and irresistible content have all been achieved under the Intergage roof, improving the user experience and positioning MAT Foundry as a market leader.
Enhance recruitment
Another of MAT Foundry’s priorities is a recruitment drive as they seek to plug both skills and gender gaps in the engineering sector generally.
To assist in this, Intergage developed a section of the site dedicated to careers and recruitment, supported by an array of content and followed by bespoke job application functionality, meaning new roles can be clearly advertised.
